Police are searching for four men who stormed a Sandy home while a woman and three children slept inside, and now the owner of the home is offering a reward in the case.

The woman told police the men forced their way into the house near 200 East and 10600 South just after 9:30 last night. She says was shaken awake in her bedroom by four men carrying guns and wearing ski masks.

Officers say the suspects tied the woman up, held her at gunpoint and demanded cash, guns and drugs from a safe.

Homeowner Matt Shadle said, "Just imagine four guys breaking into your house, putting a gun to your head, demanding things, asking for things, your kids are asleep. How does that make you feel?"

Sandy police say the four men ran from the scene and were possibly picked up by a getaway car.

Investigators recovered nonprescription drugs from the home. Shadle says they got away with at least 50 handguns, cash and ammo.

Shadle said, "I want justice. I want my guns back. I want all of my guns back, and I want to catch the perpetrators."

The guns had apparently been in the family for generations and were worth a lot of money.

Shadle denied an earlier report that there was $50,000 to $80,000 in the safe.

Shadle is angry. He told our reporters, "Let's go death penalties on people like this. They need to be treated like what they are: they're trash."

He's now offering a $10,000 reward. "And I know that probably far exceeds what values they took from me, but it's the whole idea, it's the whole process. We want these kinds of people taken off the streets," he said.

He even said he's willing to pay one the suspects to out his two friends.

Shadle is most concerned about his guns. He says the assortment of handguns and rifles were in the family for generations and worth a lot of money.

The children inside the home slept through the incident. Police say the woman was shaken by the invasion, but no one was hurt.

Investigators are looking into possible suspects including Shadle's former employees.
