Police are searching for three armed men who broke into a Salt Lake City home overnight and terrorized the people inside.
Five people were inside the home near 200 South and 1400 West just after 11:00 last night when three men carrying weapons forced their way inside. Police say the intruders first broke a window on the house and then kicked open the door.
Lt. Fred Louis of the Salt Lake City Police Department said, "One male had a gun, another one had a knife, and the third subject had a bat."
Police say the attackers began beating three of the men inside the home with the baseball bat after they refused to cooperate. Those men suffered head trauma and were taken to the hospital in serious condition.
The victims tell police they did not recognize their attackers. They said all of the intruders were wearing red bandannas over their faces.
The victims were able to give police a vague description. They say the men were in their early 20s. One was wearing a red shirt with blue jeans, another was wearing a black shirt with blue jeans, and the third man was described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.
