A man now faces charges for selling fake drugs to an undercover police officer.
On Dec. 4, a Salt Lake City undercover police officer approached a suspected drug dealer at Pioneer Park. The officer says he offered the man $20 for some cocaine.
The officer claims the suspect gave him what turned out to be plastic wrapped around more plastic, but no cocaine.
The Deseret News reports the 26-year-old suspect was officially charged yesterday. He faces a third-degree felony for distribution of an imitation controlled substance.
