Thanksgiving travelers are preparing to either hit the road or catch a flight. Will falling gas prices and rising airline fees put more people on the road?
Kirsten Tanner is one of the many people along the Wasatch Front heading out of state to see family this Thanksgiving. She's going to Colorado, but by plane or car?
"I was going to drive anyway just because airline prices are always high going in there," she said.
She says new airline fees have really discouraged her from looking to fly, and she couldn't be happier that gas prices are about half what they were at one point.
"That makes a big difference. It will help out a lot," she said.
Several travel groups say fewer flights and higher fees will keep more people away from the airports this holiday season.
