TOQUERVILLE, Utah (AP) -- Several pigs have been killed in a semitrailer accident in southern Utah.
Utah Highway Patrol trooper Steven Clyde says a preliminary investigation shows driver fatigue caused the southbound semitrailer to veer off Interstate 15 before tipping over.
Clyde says a similar accident a month and a half ago killed 160 pigs. He said it wouldn't surprise him if about the same number were killed in Thursday's incident.
The driver was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. He was treated and released.
The tractor-trailer was towed with the surviving pigs to St. George for inspection.
