SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Utah Capitol campus is closed after a waterline broke inside an underground tunnel.
The leak prompted state officials to tell about 800 workers to stay home or find an off-site location to do their work.
Allyson Gamble, a spokeswoman for the Capitol Preservation Board, says the break happened around 12:30 a.m. in a section of tunnel beneath the state office building on the west side of the campus. Crews have been at the site since the line failed.
She says there's no significant damage. Employees were told to stay home out of concern for their health without water in the restrooms.
The campus is expected to reopen on Tuesday.
Gamble says the break was not related to ongoing preservation efforts at the Capitol.
