West Jordan authorities are asking for your help finding a woman they say started a house on fire while her friend was inside sleeping.

The fire happened on August 27th. Firefighters were doing a training exercise nearby, and the person who alerted them to the blaze turns out to be the person they're now looking for.

Investigators say White and the homeowner had some sort of dispute, which led to White allegedly lighting the fire just before midnight.

West Jordan Fire Battalion Chief Clint Petersen said crews were at the house in less than a minute, but it still caused $100,000 in damage.

The woman inside was jolted awake by the smoke detector and was able to get out with only minor injuries. Investigators say she's an acquaintance of the woman they're now looking for, 47-year-old Glenna White.

As of late today, White is wanted for aggravated arson. Asst Chief Mark McElreath, with the West Jordan Fire Department, said, "I don't know if there will be any enhancements to it. It was a home. There was an occupant inside it. Lot of questions still to be decided."

White is also wanted for stalking and probation violations. According to her parole officer, it appears she has removed her ankle monitor.

White drives a white Toyota Tercel with license plate A07-1EK. She's 5 feet 2 inches tall and 250 pounds. If you know where she is, please call 840-4000.
