(KSL News) Search and rescue teams brought a woman out of Slate Canyon, just above Provo, tonight.

Hikers heard the woman calling for help around 7 o'clock this evening and found her. She had lost her shoes yesterday and spent the night in the canyon.

The Provo Mountain Rescue team helped bring her out.

She was sunburned, dehydrated and disoriented but should be fine.

It wasn't clear how the woman lost her shoes, but authorities said it pointed to the need for hikers to be prepared with layered clothing, food and water.
