ST. GEORGE — Police are asking for help to identify a man who they believe sexually assaulted a woman with diminished capacity.

The incident occurred between 12 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. on Sept. 16, according to the St. George Police Department. Investigators released images of the man who they believe was responsible for the assault on Tuesday.

"This particular case is disturbing because the victim of the sexual assault is a vulnerable adult who was driven from the area around her residence to other locations where the assault occurred," a post on the St. George Police Department's Facebook page reads. "The suspect took advantage of the diminished capacities of the victim."

Investigators said it appeared the man was driving a Mazda 626. Anyone with information about the incident can call detectives at 435-627-4328 or dispatch at 435-627-4300. The case reference is 15P021931.
