SALT LAKE CITY — The Mormon Tabernacle Choir is a serious organization that takes its music, professionalism and dedication seriously.

But as we've seen, the choir also has a good time, even if that good time does incorporate the formality of "Hallelujah Chorus" from Handel's "Messiah."

Now that the choir has returned triumphant from its two-week East Coast tour and completed its Pioneer Day concert on July 17-18, it was time for a small but exuberant celebration.

Possibly inspired by their performance at Yankee Stadium, the choir members do the wave while cheering in this video, just like at any sporting event worth its salt. The only difference is the choir does it with a backdrop of 7,667 pipes that make up the organ in the Conference Center.

If you missed the choir's Pioneer Day concert — "Music for a Summer Evening" featuring broadway star Laura Osnes — don't fret. You can watch the concert in full on the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's YouTube channel.
