Tom Callan reportingNearly a month after the new Layton FrontRunner park-and-ride lot opened, parking your car to hop the train is a challenging hurdle for many passengers.

Many complain there are more seats on the train than spaces to park your car. "They probably need another, I would say, at least 100 spots," one commuter said.

Down the road on Main Street, the First National Bank has posted a "no parking" sign for those who aren't banking. "We had to park across the road, and we didn't know for sure that it was parking designated for the FrontRunner," another commuter said.

The American Legion post cuts the parking lot in half. Some people say it is too far to walk from the other side.

The Utah Transit Authority (UTA) says it wants to know how many commuters will continue taking FrontRunner before it builds more parking.
