SALT LAKE CITY — A Uintah County man was charged in a June robbery in an indictment unsealed Tuesday in U.S. District Court.

Raymond Michael Livingston, 34, of Ballard, was charged with possession of stolen firearms, receipt of firearms while under indictment, and stealing firearms from a federal firearm licensee.

Livingston, who has lived in Las Vegas, also faces a forgery charge in Nevada.

Five of the firearms Livingston allegedly took during the Roosevelt burglary last year were recovered by the Las Vegas Metro Police Department during criminal investigations.

Livingston pleaded not guilty to the charges in the indictment during an initial appearance Tuesday in federal court.

Livingston could face as many as 10 years in prison and a fine of $250,000 for the burglary, with an additional five years for receiving firearms while under felony information.

A five-day jury trial has been scheduled to start July 21 in U.S. District Judge David Nuffer's courtroom. A detention hearing is set for Wednesday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Evelyn Furse.

The case is being investigated by special agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney's Office in Salt Lake City are pursuing the case as part of Utah Project Safe Neighborhoods, an initiative that targets gun violence in Utah communities.

A search of Utah court records indicates Livingston has prior convictions for DUI, alcohol-related reckless driving and possession of drug paraphernalia.
