SALT LAKE CITY — Police are asking for help to identify a man who is suspected of robbing five banks.
All of the robberies occurred in Salt Lake County, Salt Lake City police said Tuesday. They are calling the man the "Ski Bum Bandit."
Police believe the man robbed the University Federal Credit Union at 7220 S. Highland Dr. twice, on March 11 and Jan 24. He also robbed the Zions Bank at 7015 S. Highland Dr. on Feb. 22, the University Federal Credit Union at 3088 S. 1300 East on Feb. 19, and the Health Care Credit Union at 769 E. South Temple on Feb. 4.
Investigators described the man as being white and of average height and weight. Police said they consider him to be armed and dangerous.
