ECHO, Summit County — A Clinton truck driver died after failing to clear a turn on I-80.
Police identified the man as Kenneth R. Groberg, 67.
About 8:28 p.m. Thursday, Groberg was driving a semitrailer west on I-80, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. Groberg took the offramp to go west on I-84 but didn't make the turn and went off the left shoulder of the road.
The semitrailer's cab was crushed when the truck tipped and rolled, killing Groberg. Troopers said they were investigating speed as being a factor in the accident. Groberg was wearing a seatbelt.
The accident closed traffic lanes in the area for about six hours.
