SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Think you've got enough wind to keep the lights on?

The Utah Geological Survey says it will lend wind-measuring devices to people to determine if the wind can be turned into a reliable source of electricity.

The state will install 20-meter or 50-meter anemometer towers for up to a year at no charge.

After that year, the state will provide a report informing the property owner of the feasibility of a wind-development project.

Officials say they're looking for potential sites on the Utah-Wyoming border in Rich and Summit counties as well as in southwestern Utah. The deadline to apply is March 1.
