Storm forces students to stay at school, buses stuck on roads

Students from Fox Hollow Elementary School are now all back home.

The assistant transportation superintendant in the Alpine School District, Rob Smith, told KSL the students at Harvest Elementary and Ridgeline Elementary have been fed and are being well cared for until the storm passes.

Three school buses are still stuck on SR 92. There were four buses carrying special education students. Many parents picked those students up.


Earlier(KSL News) More than 300 students from three elementary schools in Utah County have been taken back to school this evening after their buses could not get them home, due to the storm.

Administrators at Fox Hollow Elementary School, Ridgeline Elementary School and Harvest Elementary School say the students are safe and warm and have food at the schools. The teachers and administrators are there with them.

There are an additional 10 buses full of students from Harvest Elementary School, Ridgeline Elementary School and Summit Elementary school that are stuck in the snow on S.R. 92 and S.R. 93.
