SALT LAKE CITY — The Transportation Safety Administration netted its 23rd and 24th firearms located at the Salt Lake City Airport so far this year.
Two women were stopped at security checkpoints Tuesday with loaded firearms, TSA spokeswoman Lorie Dankers said.
The first woman, carrying a RugerLC9, was stopped about 5 a.m., Dankers reported. She was arrested for investigation of possession of a dangerous weapon.
The second woman had a ticket to travel to Portland International Airport and was stopped about 8:30 p.m. with a KelTec 380. She was arrested for investigation of carrying a concealed weapon in a sterile area, Dankers said.
