RIVERDALE — Riverdale Police have released footage from a dashcam video of a man who stole a patrol car in June.
Gordon Graham was arrested by Riverdale Police for stealing a pickup truck. Graham was handcuffed and put in the backseat of the patrol car.
While the police officers were investigating the pickup truck, Graham was able to slip out of his handcuffs, and get into the front seat of the patrol car and drive away.
The police officers noticed Graham begin driving away and they ran to stop him. One officer fired a shot at the police car, but Graham continued driving and almost ran over one of the officers.
Police officers pursued Graham through several Riverdale and into several other communities Graham eventually abandoned the police car and began fleeing on foot. A resident saw him running and called 911, and Graham was caught and arrested.
Graham has been booked into jail. No weapons or items were taken from the stolen police car.
