SALT LAKE CITY — A wedding proposal can be a nerve-racking moment for any man, but it's probably a little easier when a Super Bowl-winning coach has your back.
Tim Schlosser of Milwaukee was on vacation with his girlfriend, Abigail Kobriger, in Florida when he spotted Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy on the beach. Being Packers fans the couple asked Coach McCarthy if he wouldn't mind taking a photo with them, which he agreed to. Then, Schlosser asked McCarthy if he'd take a picture of the couple.
Kobriger says she was embarrassed that her boyfriend would ask an NFL coach to snap their picture, but good-guy McCarthy obliged. Just before the coach snapped the picture Schlosser dropped to one knee and proposed to Kobriger and McCarthy snapped over 30 pictures of the happy couple's special moment.
Schlosser and Kobriger still have no wedding date, but they do plan on sending Coach McCarthy an invitation.
Denard Robinson's Terrible First Pitch
Denard Robinson has been the Michigan Wolverines quarterback for the past three years and he now hopes to be rafted to the NFL. But if his ceremonial first pitch during a Tigers game is any indication I doubt any NFL teams will come knocking.
Robinson, who threw for over six thousand yards in his career, couldn't throw a pitch 60 feet. Somehow the college QB threw a terrible pitch that one hopped to the catcher.
Let's hope NFL scouts aren't baseball fans for his sake.
BYU Spring Game
The BYU Cougars finished up their spring practice with their annual Blue and White game and the BYU Athletic Department has released a video of some of the highlights.
While the video has a questionable music selection and is less than exciting it's still football and we'll take anything at this point.
The University of Utah is still in spring practice and their Red and White game will be held on April 20.
