(KSL News) A woman is in critical condition tonight after she was stabbed by her husband.
Police responded to the Arbor Lane Apartments around 4:00 this afternoon. According to officials, a man and his wife were fighting when the man pulled out a knife and stabbed the woman in the neck and stomach. He then went outside to a carport and hanged himself.
The woman managed to escape to a neighbor's. The neighbor called 911.
The woman was taken to the hospital where she underwent emergency surgery. She is expected to be OK.
Police aren't sure why the man stabbed her but say the couple has a history of domestic disputes.
