SUMMITT COUNTY — Search and rescue crews in Summit County successfully located two snowmobilers Wednesday night after searching for several hours.
The Summit County Sheriff's Office was notified the men where missing by family members who said they didn't return from their snowmobiling trip at 3 p.m. as planned.
A search party was organized and began searching the mountains east of Kamas, where the men were said to be. They were located at about 9:45 p.m., walking out of the wilderness area on a main road.
Summit County Sheriff's Sgt. Ron Bridge said the men are experienced outdoorsmen, and when their vehicles got stuck in deep snow they had the knowledge and supplies needed to get out themselves.
The men are said to be in good health.
