(KSL News) UDOT has been holding a series of public information meetings about the proposed Mountain View Corridor. Copper Hills High School was the place today where people could learn more about the planned eight-lane freeway.

Much like happened at a meeting at Hunter High, officials presented a draft environmental impact statement as well as information on the freeway and new transit system. It would be built in the south end of Salt Lake County and the north end of Utah County.

But not everyone is happy about it.

On Thursday Cherise Yudell, founder of the group "Utah Moms for Clean Air," said, "Yes it is a road and yes we have transportation needs in West Valley; however, not at the expense of children's health."

Utah Moms for Clean Air says cars should be taken off the road instead of building more places for them to drive.
