WEST JORDAN - Nearly every street has homes trimmed with lights, but the display of the Korth family in West Jordan, designed by their teenage son Cameron Korth, has a cause behind it.

Cameron has spent months creating a light show in his front yard to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Every light-bulb of nearly 17,000 in the yard is programmed to each beat of the music, and he hopes that people will drive by, like what they see and donate.

"I've synchronized all the lights to music with all the beats," Cameron said. "Each strand of lights has to have one extension cord, and each extension cord goes into a dedicated number and that's what I use to program and sequence it."

Drive by anytime at night at 2458 W. 7870 South and tune into 91.9 FM and you can experience the light show designed by the teen.

"If you're not feeling like you want to get out and freeze, you can listen to what is being played out here right in your car," he said.

Cameron hopes all is hard work will pay off.

"The wish kid I have been assigned is Carter, and his wish is to go to the Florida theme parks. My goal is to ultimately send him to Florida next February."

Cameron says it takes around $5,000 to grant a wish and he has a donation box set out front. If you want to see the lights or donate, the display will stay up until January 1.
