UINTA-WASATCH-CACHE NATIONAL FOREST -- Forest officials are working to fix up as many flood damaged roads as they can before the snow starts flying again.

With our recent warm temperatures, it's easy to forget about last spring's big time snow pack, but there was a lot more damage this year than normal, and the work isn't done yet.

Uinta-Wasatch-Cache national forest spokesperson Kathy Jo Pollock said right now they're fixing Mineral Basin road, which will be open on Monday. Not every road will get fixed before it snows, though.

"This was a little bit of an exceptional year. We usually don't have the damage like this," said Pollack.

For people wanting those roads open, Pollock said they'll need to have more patience --that it takes time and money to get the roads fixed. Farmington Canyon and Providence Canyon roads probably won't be fixed until next summer.
