PLEASANT GROVE -- A woman's split-second decision to try to keep her car from being towed landed her in jail.
The Daily Herald reports a tow truck driver pulled a car onto the back of his truck at an apartment complex Tuesday because it was parked in a reserved stall.
The car's owner approached and started yelling at the tow truck driver. Police say when the woman was told she needed to pay a fee to get the car back, she took the tow truck driver's keys and laptop out of his truck.
He called police. The woman told officers she would return the keys and computer when she got her car back.
The woman was holding her 1-year-old son and asked police if they were going to taser her while she was holding a child. Police did arrest her. She managed to slip her handcuffs off while sitting in the police car.
The woman, Michelle Pratt, faces charges of robbery, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice.
