SALT LAKE CITY -- One person died when a motorcycle crashed on I-15 and landed on the street below.
Utah Highway Patrol trooper Jesse Valenzuela said two people from New Jersey were on the motorcycle around midnight when the driver lost control on northbound I-15 near 1300 South.
The motorcycle hit the center median, left the northbound lanes and landed on 1300 South underneath the freeway.
The driver died after being taken to a local hospital. The condition of the second rider is not known.
The crash forced partial closures of I-15 and 1300 South overnight.
