(KSL News) -- A Salt Lake County water company could face a lawsuit for not adding fluoride to public drinking water.

Five years ago county voters approved the addition of fluoride to the drinking water. However, Holladay Water Company has refused to go along with the mandate, saying 72 percent of the customers they serve do not want the fluoride.

Now the Salt Lake Valley Health Department has drawn up a request for the district attorney to take action against Holladay for breaking a binding law.
