Salt Lake Police say more potential victims are coming forward following the arrest of a nursing home worker on sexual abuse charges.
Police say in less than a day they've received a dozen calls from people who may not have originally been taken seriously in their complaints against the suspect.
Detective Jared Wihongi says, "Some of the calls have involved people with elderly parents that for some reason or another didn't take seriously the complaints the parent may have had because of the mental status of the individual."
Wihongi says specific complaints involve nursing homes in South Salt Lake and Holladay where Jacob Bolith used to work as a nursing assistant.
Wihongi also says Bolith just recently lost his license because of a complaint unrelated to his arrest. He was booked on claims he sexually abused an 85-year-old woman at a Salt Lake nursing home. This case is expected to be screened tomorrow morning.
Police say investigating the case is a challenge because some of the victims have altered mental status, and others may now have died.
