SALT LAKE CITY -- The Martin Prosperity Institute ranked what it calls the 20 best places to be a kid on Christmas. What place was No. One? The Island of Misfit Toys? Bedford Falls?
It's Logan, Utah.
The institute based the criteria on the number of children under the age of 14, the number of toy stores per capita, the number of candy stores per capita, and the likelihood of having snow on Christmas day.
With two candy stores, six toy stores, more than a quarter of the population younger than 14 and an 80 percent chance of a white Christmas, Logan gets top billing over second place Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Utah had five cities in the top 20, more than any other state.
Here's the top 20 list:

- Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
- Fairbanks, Alaska
- Billings, Montana
- Ogden-Clearfield, Utah
