(KSL News) It's still early on, but Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is leading in the polls in some key states. Analysts say Romney's advertising and aggressive approach have propelled him to the top in Iowa and New Hampshire.

One political analyst said Romney is raising the money, spending it wiser and is "now positioned as the front-runner for the nomination."

Still, Romney trails Rudy Giuliani, Sen. John McCain, and former Senator Fred Thompson in most national polls of Republican contenders.
