(KSL News) KSL has learned this morning that a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is dead following a train accident in Rosario, Argentina.

The father of 19-year-old Benjamin Ellsworth, from Mesa, Arizona, says his son died Friday when he fell while getting onto a train and was pulled under it.

LDS Missionary Killed in Train Accident

Ellsworth reported in June to the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah, and arrived in Argentina in August.

He trained for eight months in the U.S. Marine Corps before taking a two-year leave to go on his church mission.
