(KSL News) A woman accused of hitting her husband in the head with a hammer has been charged with attempted homicide.
Amy Ricks, 34, allegedly told her husband she had a surprise for him at a relative's condo. Police say she then put a blindfold on him and hit his head with a hammer as she spun him around.
When her husband took off the blindfold, he saw sleeping bags, a knife and plastic bags nearby. He ran and called police.
If convicted, Ricks could spend up to 15 years in prison.
