Dan Pope, Live 5 Meteorologist A significant weather change is in the air. High-wind warnings have been issued through tonight for much of Utah. Gusty shifting winds in excess of 60 mph are expected as a cold front passes through the Beehive State.

Rain and scattered thunderstorms will arrive late tonight, and the rain will persist through Wednesday. In fact, it will turn cold enough for mountain snow and even a few flakes on the benches.

Showers will linger into Thursday as unseasonably cold weather will stick around through Friday.

Good news for the weekend, however, as high pressure rebuilds to the Great Basin and the weather turns partly sunny with rising temperatures into the upper 70s and low 80s. Another weaker storm is slated for Monday.
