SALT LAKE CITY -- Associated Food Stores is closing three Fresh Market stores along the Wasatch Front.
At the end of October, it will close the store on 2255 North University Parkway in Provo, the store on 140 North and 900 West in Salt Lake City, and the store on 370 E. 200 South in Salt Lake.
The three stores were among the 34 Albertsons stores that Associated Foods bought last fall. The stores have not met expectations over the last few months.
Fresh Market says it hopes to move some of the affected employees to other stores.
