(KSL News) Utah is ahead of the nation when it comes to putting people to work.
According to the Utah Department of Workforce Services, the unemployment rate in the state in April was only 2.5 percent; that is well below the national average of 4.5 percent.
Not only is the jobless rate low, but thousands of new jobs have been created in Utah in the past year. Construction added 14,000 jobs, and the number of transportation, utilities and education jobs went up as well.
