MAGNA -- Fire destroyed a home in Magna Friday night.

Unified Fire Authority firefighters responded to the area of 3200 South and 9100 West after receiving calls reporting a field fire. By the time they got there, the fire had spread to a nearby house.

Crews were able to get the fire out, but not before it destroyed the home.

Investigators found a fallen power line, but they aren't sure yet if that's what caused the fire.

The home has been vacant for three or four years, but neighbors say transients are sometimes in the home.

No one was injured.
