ALPINE -- The Utah Highway Patrol is calling for cooler heads after a road rage incident in Utah County.
Court documents obtained by The Daily Herald say that say a car driven by Darren Hansen Call was merging onto Interstate 15 at the Alpine/Highland interchange Saturday night when Call cut off a motorcycle. The motorcycle driver pointed at his own eyes, indicating Call should watch out for motorcycles.
"The driver of the other vehicle did not really care for him reminding him of that, and they actually stated that he actually swerved at him," said UHP Trooper Cameron Roden.
Roden says the motorcyclist was smart after Call got aggressive.
"Instead of continuing to engage in behaviors that could have compounded and gotten worse, to call us and have us respond and be able to take care of the situation was definitely the right call," Roden said.
Troopers say Call could face felony aggravated assault charges.
