SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for today as a storm system moves into Utah, bringing cooler temperatures to the state.
The wind advisory will be in place between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. today.
An advisory means that winds in excess of 30 miles-per-hour are expected.
Winds from the south are expected to develop late this morning, increasing in strength to 35 miles-per-hour expected by the afternoon. Gusts of up to 40 miles-per-hour are expected tonight across west central and southwest Utah.
The weather service says high winds can make driving difficult, so drivers should use extra caution.
