(KSL News) -- A BYU student is dead after trying to give emergency aid in an accident.
A white Chevy Cavalier hit a traffic sign on southbound I-15 near 2400 south this morning and then hit a retaining wall.
22-year-old Ammon Gladwell ran across the freeway to help but he was hit by a Ford Explorer.
He died at the scene and two others were injured.

The driver of the Cavalier fled the scene but later turned himself in. Police want to talk with two women in a red Jetta who helped him escape.
