SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A coroner says the brother of a Utah sheriff's deputy shot to death in January died of an accidental drug overdose.
The Clark County coroner's office in Nevada said Wednesday that 40-year-old Ryan Greathouse had cocaine, heroin, ethanol and methadone in his system.
Greathouse was found dead in a Las Vegas apartment April 22.
Authorities have said Greathouse told deputies he bought drugs from the man charged in the fatal shooting of Josie Greathouse Fox and another man shortly before she was killed Jan. 5. Authorities said the brother-sister connection was a bizarre coincidence.
Thirty-eight-year-old Roberto Miramontes Roman is charged with capital murder and two other counts in the deputy's death.
