(KSL News) More than 1,600 people hit the street in Salt Lake City today. Their steps raised money to help find a cure for multiple sclerosis.
The M.S. Walk is a fundraiser for the Utah chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Money from the event funds research and programs, including support groups.
Walkers gathered contributions from family and friends. Some were sponsored by local companies.
The 18th annual M.S. Walk covered three miles today, and participants raised more than $300,000.
