(KSL News) A woman is sentenced to life in prison for murdering her ranch hand to collect his life insurance policy.

Linda Fields, 46, was found guilty of first-degree murder on Monday. Prosecutors say she killed her employee, "Jerry" Palensky, and dumped his body in the Jordan River in 2004. The murder weapon was never found. Prosecutors say Fields killed him to collect on a $300,000 life insurance policy.

She was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
