PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Carmelo Anthony has left the New York Knicks' game at Portland with a sore left knee.
Anthony had 13 points in the first half, but was ruled out for the second half. The sore knee also forced him to miss a game at Chicago on Dec. 18.
Anthony had 36 points in a 135-129 overtime loss at Sacramento on Saturday night.
Anthony's absence left the Knicks with just eight players for the second half against the Blazers on Sunday night. New York also was without J.R. Smith, who is having ongoing issues with his left heel, Samuel Dalembert because of a sprained right ankle, and Amare Stoudemire with a sore right knee.
