DALLAS (AP) — Mavericks guard Jose Calderon was unlikely to return to Dallas' game against Brooklyn after taking an elbow to the face from Nets center Mason Plumlee.

Calderon took the unintentional shot in the first minute of the game Sunday night. Trainers attended to the Spaniard for a few moments on the court before taking him to the locker room with 11:15 remaining in the first quarter.

The team said Calderon's return was doubtful with a facial injury.

Devin Harris replaced Calderon and hit three shots from 3-point range in the first 6 minutes of the quarter.
