SALT LAKE CITY — Murray’s Daxton Nielsen slapped in the go-ahead goal in the third period to help the Spartans to a 6-4 win in the state hockey championship final Wednesday night at the Salt Lake City Sports Complex.

After Park City's Marc Colaizzi tied the game at 4-4 with 7:09 left in the final period, Nielsen scurried down the ice on a breakaway for the go-ahead goal, and the Spartans would never trail again.

Jake Elwell added an open-net goal in the waning moments for Murray.

Brighton won the Division II championship. Click the video above for highlights from the final game of the season.
