HARRISVILLE, Weber County — Police say a man who absconded from parole on Friday stabbed another man in the chest on Sunday.

Police continued to look Sunday for Cameron Aaron, 26, of Ogden. Harrisville Police Chief Max Jackson said a 40-year-old man and a woman were at a home near 200 West and 2500 North in Harrisville when Aaron began "violently knocking" on the door and yelling about 1:30 p.m.

The man inside the home went out the back door, but Jackson said he was confronted by Aaron in the driveway. At that point, the altercation became violent and the victim, whose name was not released Sunday, was stabbed in the chest, Jackson said.

It was not known Sunday whether Aaron and the stabbing victim knew each other previously or what may have sparked the stabbing. Jackson said the victim was out of surgery Sunday night and talking to detectives.

The stabbing comes as Aaron's Adult Probation and Parole case agent reported Friday that he had absconded from parole, he said.

Aaron was convicted of felony forgery in January of 2015 and sentenced to up to five years in the Utah State Prison, according to court records. About that same time, he was convicted in a separate case of aggravated assault. His sentence of up to five years in prison was ordered to run concurrently with his forgery sentence. In 2013, Aaron was convicted of misdemeanor assault, according to court records. He was convicted of his second DUI offense in 2012.

Jackson said Aaron should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts can call police at 801-629-6221.
