LOGAN, Utah (AP) — Julion Pearre scored a career-high 19 points and led four players in double figures as Utah State beat Fresno State 85-79 on Saturday night.
Darius Perkins scored 19 points, David Collette had 16 points and Jalen Moore added 11 with eight rebounds for Utah State (16-10, 9-5 Mountain West Conference).
Five consecutive points by Perkins and a baseline layup by Collette pushed Utah State to its largest lead, 63-51 with 9:10 to play. A steal and basket by Julien Lewis and 3-pointers by Cezar Guerrero and Marvelle Harris pulled Fresno State within 78-75 with 1:28 to play. But a 3-pointer and free throws in the final minute by JoJo McGlaston, Elston Jones and Perkins sealed it for the Aggies and head coach Stew Morril, who won his 400th game at Utah State.
Lewis scored 15 of his 21 points in the second half to lead Fresno State (12-15, 7-7).
