SALT LAKE CITY — Utah State alumni Bobby Wagner and Robert Turbin already know the thrill of winning a Super Bowl.

However, the former Aggies and their Seattle Seahawks teammates are still in the hunt to become the first repeat Super Bowl winners since the New England Patriots did so exactly 10 years ago.

Seattle will host its second consecutive NFC championship game Sunday, when the Green Bay Packers travel to take on the defending champs.

Three of the remaining teams in the NFL playoffs feature players with the ties to Utah.

Seattle beat the Carolina Panthers in the divisional round, 31-17. Wagner made nine tackles in the game, while Turbin rushed for 19 yards.

Another Utah State alum will play in the NFC title game, as Green Bay cornerback Jarrett Bush will travel with the Packers to Seattle. Bush made a tackle in Green Bay’s 26-21 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

The New England Patriots will host the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC championship, and former Utah defensive lineman Sealver Siliga made five tackles for the Patriots in their 35-31 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

Baltimore receiver Steve Smith caught three passes and had a touchdown in the loss, and announced Sunday he hopes to return for another season in the NFL. Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata made a tackle in the loss.
