WEST VALLEY CITY — Police are looking for a man they say attempted to steal clothing from a Macy's department story at the Valley Fair Mall.
A man attempted to steal clothing items at around 11:00 a.m. on Friday, according to Roxeanne Vainuku of the West Valley City Police Department.
Macy's employees approached the man, but he fought with them. One employee managed to handcuff one of the man's wrists before he pushed her to the ground and fled, Vainuku said.
Police describe the man as a white male adult with short hair who is roughly 23-years-old. He is about 5 foott 10 inches tall and 180 pounds. He was also carrying a red bag at the time of the incident.
