The Manti Templars defeated defending state champion San Juan 8-4 to win the 2014 2A state softball championship.

The Templars dominated the tournament by not only going undefeated, but winning their tourney games by a combined score of 61-7.

This is Manti’s ninth state softball championship and first since 2012.

They finished the season with a 26-1 record. Their only loss this season was to Taylorsville, a 5A team.
